In Week 2 our class and Huia 1 (another Year 7 and 8 class) went to the Awhitu Environmental Camp, which is just north of Waiuku. We stayed there for four nights. There was a lot of preparation before we left. We each have our own camp book which has maps and information about camp-related topics, along with a general idea . There was a range of activities we did, which included orienteering, swimming, walks to the lookout, a scavenger hunt, a muddy walk to Crab Island, going down the zoom slide, and outdoor cooking on hobo stoves. We also had some games of sport being played outside. Here are some photos:
